I just traveled, American Airlines, Dallas to Cleveland and back.
I had a paper boarding pass with me on the way from Dallas to Cleveland, so didn’t get the chance to use the IPhone app.
Coming back from Cleveland though, at security, they had a reader that I set my IPhone screen on, and it read the info, they then compared that with my ID (drivers license).
At the gate, I just expanded the IPhone boarding pass so she could read the info, as she said the “reader” wasn’t working. She then verified that with my “checked in” name on her computer.
Very new, so seems there are kinks still

Love the idea, but how is the TSA screening done? I don’t want a TSA guy to sign/stamp my iPhone after checking my ID.

Continental Airline has been implimenting this future on the iPhone as well as other PDAs.

Wonder why they only made an app for the iPhone? I would think that there would be more corporate flyers who need this carrying Blackberrys, at least for now.
