The 3G iPhone will be on the market today July 11, Friday. It would be he same date that Apple Inc. will be launching its online software store called App Store. The App Store will sell hundreds or even thousand of applications such as games, language translators, corporate applications, and more that would work for the iPhone. According to an analyst from IDC, Shiv Bakhshi, the more applications that the iPhone users can get, the more they will find the 3G iPhone useful. The more personalized it is, the more functional the device is.

The latest App Store is the only place where iPhone as well as iPod Touch users can purchase the applications that can be used on their devices. Rob Enderle, the main analyst of Enderle Groups said that Apple Inc. broke the traditional approach in selling phones and software.

For those who already own an iPhone, the App Store will appear in their device as an icon which is part of the free update. As for the iPod Touch users, they have to pay $9.99 if they want to upgrade their software.
