Apple Inc. on Wednesday cut the price of the top iPhone by $200 and discontinued the 4-gigabyte model.

The 8-gigabyte iPhone will sell for $399, and the 4-gigabyte model, which sold for




$399, will be phased out.

“We want to put the iPhone in a lot of stockings this holiday season,” CEO Steve Jobs said at a special media event near downtown San Francisco.

      Pretty big price cut after just 2 months. Can’t say I don’t feel like a bit of a sucker. It’s going to be comfortable to face the people who told be I’m crazy for spending so much. Thanks, Apple.
