Apple dev blasts support and delays, calls it “amateur”
Facing “months” of unexplained delays and telephone support from “the people who can barely speak English,” iPhone app developer Perry Hart has blasted Apple for running “inadequate and down right amateur” systems “for reviewing iPhone applications and supporting developers.”

In an e-mail to another well known site, Hart says that he and other developers hoping for timely publication of their apps have been placed in a holding pattern, with no ability to know when apps will or won’t be published by Apple. This isn’t unusual, but it’s one of the few times a dev has been so outspoken about the delay.
“One developer has been on the queue for three months,” said Hart, and has claimed numerous developers repeatedly e-mail Apple’s dev address, only to be ignored.
Hart is the developer of AutoMangle, previously released on the App Store, as well as the upcoming first person shooter game ZombieMangle, which has been held up for unknown reasons.
“I submitted ZombieMangle over a week ago now,” Hart was quoted as saying, “which was what I thought would be a perfect time to release just before Christmas. However, a few days after submission Apple sends me an email stating that they require ‘Unexpected Additional Time For Review’ with no reason whatsoever for the delay. So I do a search for any other developers who have received this email, and it appears there’s ALOT of them.”
What’s going on exactly? Short on reviewers for the holidays? Perhaps. But for app devs who hoped to reap the benefit of holiday sales, it’s no sale for them.

Skype for iPad supports video calling and will be released very soon.
Basically since seeing Apple third party software distribution model kind of tough that such problems will be coming from time to time. World is big and there are millions of developers who who would like to develop for iPhone. At least not so no wonder that Apple will be having problems reviewing that avalanche of apps. At least if they want to stay at quality level this reviewing was made for.
Also I wonder if because of that alternative channels for jailbroken iPhone could gain more attention tough kind of doubt that.
