Apple iPhone has always been addressing the requirements of the users be it the need for a Software Development Kit (SDK) or the Enterprise iPhone. Now, there is a buzz in the industry that, you perhaps need not wait long enough, if you are also one of those longing for the enterprise edition.

In a recent interview with InternetNews.com, an Apple representative has reportedly disclosed that Apple Inc. is soon to reveal the ‘exciting news for enterprise customers’ at a media event scheduled for March 6. It is expected that the Enterprise iPhone will help enterprise customers to be a better corporate citizen. Moreover, Apple Inc. is optimistic that although the iPhone’s Safari browser is successful, the iPhone SDK would give developers more direct access to the architecture and features in the ‘most innovative’ device of the recent times.
Withstanding the pressure from a lot of enterprises where a lot of executives have requested their respective companies for iPhones, Apple has finally reiterated in their email, that the focus of the event on March 6, 2008 would
Consumers have also been waiting for the much-discussed 3G version of the iPhone, which would allow for faster Internet access. An if reports are to be believed, the 3G iPhone would be launched sometime in 2008, although there has not been any official confirmation from either Apple or AT&T.
The Enterprise iPhone has also raised the expectation of the consumers as Apple’s iPhone is now one of the top three most-popular smartphones; and the growth graph of the smartphones are on the rise. The analysts are quite sanguine that Apple Inc. will encourage greater application development and resolve a few minor form-factor issues, like adding a keyboard etc.
However, although Apple iPhone has grabbed the market share in smartphones, it is yet to define its score in the Enterprise edition. The iPhone has built momentum for the development of touch-screen interfaces, which can be highly configured. This has led companies to focus on delivering a non-negotiable Web browsing experience on a small device.
