Cagni said the company plans to expand the iPhone distribution to more European countries, but declined to name the countries when asked by Les Echos, a French newspaper.

Cagni also stressed Apple’s determination in selling ten million iPhone units for the 2008 financial year. Currently, Apple has sold fewer than 5 million since the iPhone was launched last June.

iPhone is scheduled to ship in Italy, Belgium, Spain, Netherlands and other European countries in June, around the same time as the new iPhone would be launched.

Cagni also announced that French iPhone users would enjoy TV show downloads via iTunes France in the coming months. Germany received this kind of service last April 2.
