Apple has begun testing for iPhone firmware 2.2 Beta 2

Apple has begun seeding iPhone 2.2 Beta 2 to developers and testers, according to several websites.

iPhone 2.2 Street View

It has been discovered in Beta 1 that Apple included APIs related to Google Street View in Google Maps, and in the latest seed Street View is now fully enabled. Additionally, walking directions are now available along with public transportation directions and schedules as well. Very unique and useful indeed.

Included notes also indicate that line-in audio devices are now directly supported in the SDK.

Apple has indicated no solid timeframe for the release of the new firmware version, but industry people whisper that it may be in a few weeks or so.
