RIM’s BlackBerry as well as other corporate mobile phone systems is now facing a real challenge as Apple launched its latest 3G iPhone. According to the tech analysts, the latest iPhone is not just open for business but it is meant for business.

iPhone 3G

Unlike the first-generatio iPhone model, the 3G iPhone can actually handle presentations done using the Microsoft PowerPoint. Moreover, it can also connect with highly corporate electronic mail systems as well. Aside from that, users can expect a faster internet connection which is excellent for business-related applications.

According to Tim Bajarin, a tech analyst from Creative Strategies, these and the other features of the iPhone makes it a real threat to RIM’s BlackBerry.

As

of the moment, iPhone has already been out in the market for almost a year. However, most of the iPhone sales are through the efforts of the consumers. Before, companies were still reluctant to embrace iPhones since the features are quite simply which is not suitable for a corporate environment. But now that there are new features and excellent innovations done in the 3G iPhone, it is now in the same bench as the BlackBerry.

Aside from its new capabilities and features, the 3G iPhone is now ready to face the competitive mobile phone market since the price has dropped from $399 to $199. This is definitely an affordable and competitive price since RIM’s BlackBerry is worth $350 each unit.
