Forget “search engine optimisation”; whether you want to drive hits to your website thereupon all you have to do is launch an iPhone.  Traffic figures for May of that year show that Apple was the fastest growing site in the top ten most-visited, rising 5% from April’s figures and, it’s believed, owing most of that to pre-launch iPhone buzz.

Hits to Apple.com grew by 5% in May

Apple comes in at number ten, with 121.5 million different visitors in May and an average of 15.7 visits per visitor; that’s out of the comScore World Metrix service’s findings that there were 772 million citizens online during the month.
