Apple sued by iPhone’s virtual keyboard

This isn’t the first and won’t be the last lawsuit Apple will deal with regarding the iPhone. SP Technology LLC was awarded a patent in 200, with the following description: “method and medium for computer readable keyboard display incapable of user termination.” I don’t have the slightest view what that means, but I guess it’s critical suitable for the company to seek for compensation for the iPhones sold, as well as an injunction against the continued act of willful and planned use of their intellectual property.

This isn’t good for Apple whether found guilty of “willful and deliberate” patent infringement. The company could be forced to pay punitive damages equal to three times the economic loss that the plaintiff suffered. I can’t imagine Apple being guilty, or could they?
