Remote lets you control your iTunes library from the iPhone or iPod. You can also directly control control an Apple TV if you are using one of the devices in your home theater.

Using Remote you can scroll through playlists, artists, genres and search your music. When playing Remote will show you the album artwork of the current song and allow you to adjust star ratings and other settings, with identical functionality as an iPod.

Remote is available for free from the App Store as of today.

I’m a big fan of the updated version of Remote. It also allows you to easily select which remote speakers to use directly from the ‘now playing’ screen. Also, the shuffle and repeat options seem more reliable/responsive.

I created a playlist remotely last night and it was really easy to move everything from one playlist over to the new on and then add/delete songs to the new one via Remote.

… now, if they would just let me stream my content to my iPhone via Remote. :-)
