I just got off the phone with Apple’s Greg Joswiak, who was eager to combat a lot of the poor reporting going on out there about the iPhone’s battery lifespan.
Short version: After 400 complete charges (and that means complete, drain-it-till-it-dies), the iPhone loses 20 percent of its
battery capacity.
Not what the much-disseminated CNET review says, which is that after 400 charges the battery is dead. 80 percent =
not dead
