AT&T launches MMS feature for iPhone successfully
As previously explained, rumored (and feared in some circles), AT&T has now activated MMS for iPhone 3G and 3GS users in the US, bringing to an close the saga began when 3.0 launched in the middle of June.

According to early indications, it launched without a lot of issues and worries about it instantly bringing down the iPhone network proved a bit hasty.
Apple has posted an article describing the process for activating MMS on your phone here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3880
It involves updating a carrier file on users’ iPhones using iTunes (sometimes used to distribute feature updates). Just connect it to iTunes, click Check For Updates to update your phone to version 3.1 (if you don’t have it already) and then it should prompt you to connect to check for a carrier update.
After installing the new carrier file, users restart their phones, and then try to create a new text message. You should see a ‘camera’ icon, which means the feature has been activated. Pretty simple, and a long overdue feature for many.
