AT&T Reveals iPhone Plan for People with Disabilities
AT&T has a new Internet and messaging plan for its famous Apple iPhone, which is designed in helping people who have a hearing or speech impairment stay connected to the mobile world.

AT&T is the current exclusive provider of services for the iPhone. With AT&T’s new plan called “Text Accessibility Plan for the iPhone”, customers with disabilities would be able to access web browsing, unlimited text messaging and e-mail just for a flat rate.
According to Carlton Hill, Vice President of Product Management, Voice Products and Affiliate Marketing for AT&T’s wireless department, “Our Text Accessibility Plan allows customers who are deaf or have hearing or speech disabilities to literally tap out their communications on the go.”
Depending on personal needs of a customer, AT&T also markets a “Mobile Magnifier” option, which would help people with limited vision see their screens and a “Mobile Speak” option that would read menu options aloud. The company has also set up its own National Center for Customers with Disabilities that could help customers qualify for this new plan.
