AT&T U-verse remote DVR app launches for the iPhone

AT&T has released a free iPhone and iPod touch application that allows U-verse subscribers control their DVR systems remotely, which seems to be all the rage these days with DVR systems.

Remote Access

The app, U-verse TV Mobile Remote Access, can display program listings and full descriptions of individual shows, as well as allow users to schedule program or series recordings.

It’s also possible to edit existing schedules, whether they have been initiated from the iPhone app or on the DVR itself. Should you not have enough free space, existing stored content can be remotely deleted as well.

AT&T recently boosted the connection speed for their U-verse subscribers, together with adding more flexibility in controlling recordings and downloading movie content. The company has been discussing an iPhone app for U-verse since September last year, and finally got around to releasing it late last week.
