The agency Better Business Bureau recently warned all the interested consumers about the different scams that are associated with Apple Inc.’s latest device – the second generation iPhone.
According to Michele McDaniel, the president of the bureau in North Alabama, the scammers are now taking advantage of the popularity of the 3G iPhone that was introduced last July so that they can rip off the interested consumers.

These scammers are now setting up different websites so that they can pose as a legitimate retailers, resellers, and brokers of the new device from Apple Inc. There are even reported scammers who posted their advertisements online at several classified websites including the infamous Craigslist. More often than not, the victims were usually asked to wire their payment for the second-generation iPhone, which will never arrive.
Effective on this weekend, the Best Buy will be selling the iPhones. This will provide the customers a legitimate third outlet where they can purchase aside from the stores of AT&T and Apple Inc.
The Better Business Bureau advised the consumer to purchase Apple Inc.’s iPhone only at the authorized stores. Moreover, they also advised not to wire the payment if they would like to buy a second hand iPhone on the internet.
