My idea for an iphone app is one for people on medication. MEDICAPP is an application that keeps track of all the different types of medication a person is taking. It should be able to record the dosage, purpose of meds, and a reminder when its time for the next dosage. This will come in handy when you visit your doctor or incase of an emergency.

As a developer, I would not say it will be the iPhone killer but will cause headaches to Apple. The main pain points will be the ability to manipulate data and apps + flash applications that you will be able to run on the Android OS.

I’m not sure which one is better but I’m a iPhone 3gs owner and I pretty much will always be an iPhone user from now on. I like the droid as well though with the multiple applications that you can run, so with that said that will be the most likely addition in the next generation of iPhone.

What Apple meant about API’s is that this particular programmers software, was calling for instructions that were proprietary and for Apple’s eyes only, and so permissions that were given before are now taken away. It’s all about rights,money and lawyers , if you want to bring these corporations to their knees the you would have to stop buying their products.

* Protecting information on APIs from the general public. For example, Sony used to make its official PlayStation 2 API available only to licensed PlayStation developers. This enabled Sony to control who wrote PlayStation 2 games. This can increase quality control and provide companies with potential licensing revenue streams.
* Making APIs freely available. For example, Microsoft makes the Microsoft Windows API public and Apple releases its APIs Carbon and Cocoa so that software can be written for their platform.

Killed my iphone. It’s great! Superior sound quality, OS is nice, most of the apps i like on iphone are here, great screen, better camera, built-in flash (wake up iphone), better bluetooth. I’m looking forward to Google Voice as soon as I get my invite.

I just got the Iphone last week and I love it. Oh and to the person who said you can’t get the equiptment insurance on the iphone, yes you can, it’s just a $100 replacement fee instead of a $50 replacement fee. It’s very easy to use, great touch reponse, and the internet pages are great. Now, I only paid $100 with a upgrade and my bill for me and my hubby with net and unlimted text and picture message is only $140. I don’t have any complaints with at&t’s service, it’s good where I live, and although I know Verison has exceptional service ( I had a go-phone from them in my younger days and had service in the middle of the ocean), it isn’t so much better that I would switch.
