After the Mac-only directions for loading custom ringtones onto an iPhone surfaced on Friday, the public by at ModMyiPhone have been busy piecing together a Windows version.  Oh happy day, they’ve succeeded!  As with the Mac directions (which several MY iTablet readers followed and were successful with), there’s a possible risk of bricking your iPhone – however in such cases an iTunes restore has fixed things again.

Basically, the process involves a couple of additional programmes and some fiddling with the iPhone firmware.  There are additionally directions for replacing the standard system sounds, should they not be to your liking.
