Steve Jobs is really serious. He wants to dominate the world’s mobile market by selling Apple Inc.’s smartphone – the iPhone. According to a reliable source, Mobile TeleSystems has already made an agreement with Apple Inc. and the iPhone will soon be out in the Russian market. He also said that the sales of the iPhone in Russia may start on October.

When asked for a comment, Apple declined to give one. The spokeswoman from Mobile TeleSystems also refused to give comments as of the moment. Mobile TeleSystems, also known as MTS, is the biggest mobile phone operator in Russia. It is currently being controlled by Sistema.

Although the iPhone is not yet officially out in Russia, the device immediately became a status symbol, especially in Moscow, few weeks after the 3G iPhone’s debut last July. The black market in Russia is flourishing. There are numerous unauthorized sales of the iPhones that were brought in Russia via suitcases. Some have contacts outside Russia who sent the iPhones through the courier.
