Ever wanted to easily exchange contact info (replacing the clunky old standby, the business card) just by being near another iPhone wirelessly?

Developer Meganova BV has created an application called Nameo that manages to do just that, easily and quickly. The app was released on the App Store and is available for immediate download for $2.99.
To use Nameo, you open up the application on your iPhone and hit “Connect” as your
peers do this as well. The app will detect other phones in the vicinity and will display a list of available contacts. Clicking on a name will add that contact’s information to your iPhone’s address book. You both need to click a Yes prompt to verify the exchange of info (for security of course) and that’s it.
According to reports, this even works with an older generation iPhone without GPS just fine.

What's your opinion?
No Biggie, my palm pilot did that 8 years ago and then everyone had palm pilots in the businiess world. In todays businiess world its RIM that corners that market. I dont see the iphone used in busniess so much. i love the iphone for personal use but the blackberry still is the best for business in my opinion. Dont et me wrong, im like an iphone guru ever since the original came out. But for work the virtual keyboard plain sucks, too many mistakes i make with or with out auto correction and when on the go walking, running or driving ( i now not supposed to do that) texting and dialing is next to impossible. Plus the lag time and the abount of buttons that have to be pressed to get your contact up on the screen…well lets just says for us in the NE we need stuff fast and the blackberry is quick for this….especially one handed…you cant do that on an iphone, at least not me.
With that said, i still love the iphone, its my hobby sort of speak. will never trade it.
