If you’re a fan of The Sims (and there are a lot of fans of the now iconic product), Virtual Villagers may be perfect for you.

In Virtual Villagers you’re the leader of a group of castaways that have been drifting at sea on a log raft, eventually landing on the shores of a mysterious island. Throughout the game you’ll need to solve unique, brain-bending puzzles and discover hidden mysteries of the island.

In order to survive you’ll need to help your tribe specialize in tasks to help the tribe as a whole work more efficiently. The 4 occupations available to your tribe members are farming, building, research and breeding (yes, you read that correctly).

It evens includes an iPhone first: It’s a “persistent” game. The game even continues to “live”, even when the game is turned off. You can even rename your villagers and choose their outfits.
