Fake Gene Munster Says Wireless Stores Dislike the iPhone

First there was Fake Steve Jobs, now there is Fake Gene Munster. Gene Munster, the managing director and a senior research analyst at Piper Jaffray and the analyst that is super focused on Apple has a secret blog. Ok. Not really but even fake society can have interesting insights.

In a recent post, Fake Gene Munster says that wireless stores including AT&T brick and mortars dislike the iPhone for one reason only: with the iPhone’s user activation, it cuts out the middle man rendering wireless stores useless. Pretty insightful, eh?

One (huge) side story to the iPhone is the removal of the middle-man in the activation process. There is no question that will become the standard way to activate phones, and it’s going to happen very quickly now. Watch and see.

So what do you think? whether the iPhone activation process truly changes the way public activate phones, what will be the use of wireless stores?
