iPhone 4, that is the new name of the Apple iPhone 4 G phone that Steve Jobs announced during the WWDC (World Wide Developers Conference). This phone changes everything, at least according to Apple’s ads. Whether or not the iPhone 4 really changes everything we’ll let you decide that for yourself.

Features of the new iPhone 4 include FaceTime, Retina Display, HD Video Recording, and a 5 mega-pixels camera. FaceTime allows iPhone 4 users to video chat with each other by taking advantage of the iPhone 4’s front facing camera or back camera, and this feature only works on WiFi. Retina Display makes the iPhone 4 screen have a higher screen resolution. HD Video recording allows iPhone 4 users to record videos in high definition. The 5 mega-pixel camera allows users to record better quality videos and take better photos.

Here we will tell you the iPhone 4 dimensions and weight, iPhone 4 colors, iPhone 4 Battery Life, iPhone 4 Display, iPhone 4 Camera, iPhone 4 Sensors, and iPhone 4 Buttons and Controls. iPhone 4 dimensions are 4.5 inches height by 2.31 inches width. When it comes to the Verizon iPhone, there is no shortage of rumors. The latest rumor suggests that Apple and AT&T had a deal with the iPad 3G. AT&T offered cheap data plans for iPad 3G customers, in exchange for Apple renewing their contract for at least another year. This is just pure speculation from a Wall Street Analyst, Brian Marshall (source: Computer World) so for all we know he could be making things up. There is still a possibility of the iPhone launching on the Verizon Wireless network, we’ll just need to play the waiting game and see.

In other news, the new iPhone 4G or iPhone HD is launching this summer with the iPhone 4.0 software.  The iPhone 4G hardware prototype was leaked, and a photo gallery of it was posted online late last month. Apple will most likely announce the iPhone 4G during the WWDC event that takes place during June 7-11.

The Spirit Jailbreak download is really tempting to try, but I don’t want to download it yet because I just got my iPad and I’m not sure if it’s worth it to jailbreak iPad yet. I’ll wait until all the bugs are ironed out. What about you?

The new iPhone 4G is coming in summer, and this iPhone 4G prototype hardware photo is the proof of that. What we don’t know is whether or not Apple will release a Verizon iPhone 4G. Type in “iPhone” in Google, and the first suggestion you get is “Verizon iPhone”. This definitely indicates that many users want a Verizon iPhone.

A Verizon iPhone 4G release date doesn’t seem likely this June, however The Wall Street Journal has said that Apple may release two iPhones in June, and one of them will support Verizon’s CDMA network. This is just a rumor, and as you know there are many rumors when it comes to Apple’s upcoming products. You never know what they release until they actually release it. Even if Apple releases a Verizon iPhone this June, it won’t be on the 4G network because Verizon’s 4G network won’t be ready until 2011.

The iPhone OS 4.0 beta 2 download is now available for iPhone developers along with the new iPhone SDK 4.0 beta 2 as well. The new iPhone OS 4.0 beta 2 firmware is supported on iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G, iPod touch third generation, and iPod touch second generation.

No new features have been discovered in the latest beta yet, because it’s mainly bug fixes. I’ll make a post if any new features are discovered.

Earlier today Gizmodo made a post titled “This is Apple’s Next iPhone”. You can see a photo of it above this text. They claim that the iPhone they have was found in a bar in Redwood City. To make matters worse, they are just assuming that this really is a prototype based on the fact that they saw multiple components in the iPhone that were labeled Apple. Sorry to rain on your parade Gizmodo, but your iPhone is a fake. That explains why it doesn’t boot up, and why you can’t connect it to iTunes and download even the beta version of iPhone OS 4.0 software to it. Someone most likely took out the components from the current iPhone, placed them in a fake Chinese iPhone clone and sent it to you. I just contacted one of my sources who has had actual hands on experience with a prototype of the new iPhone, and he has confirmed that this prototype is nowhere close to what the real iPhone 4G looks like and it’s a FAKE. I’m talking to my source again right now and am trying to get more information out of him, but I may not be able to reveal much as his career is at stake here. Stay tuned!

iPhone OS 4.0 software was just announced this month, but a lot of iPhone and iPod touch owners are excited about it. Just when is the iPhone 4.0 release date? Apple only said summer 2010, but we can expect the iPhone OS 4.0 firmware to be released during June because that’s the same month Apple released the iPhone OS 3.0 online update last year.

The iPhone 4.0 update is a really big update and adds more than 100 features to the iPhone, including multi-tasking and categorizing of apps.

iPhone hackers, get ready! You can jailbreak iPhone 4.0 beta 1 now, thanks to the redsn0w 0.9.5 software created by the iPhone Dev Team. For those that don’t know what this is, “jailbreak” or “jailbreaking” iPhone 4.0 firmware basically allows you to download third party apps and fully customize your iPhone.

This jailbreak will only work for iPhone 3G users on a Mac. It’s still in beta, so it’s very buggy. If you plan to jailbreak, know that your unlock will be compromised since Apple updated the baseband in the iPhone 4.0 beta firmware.

The photo above is purportedly the 4G Verizon iPhone that is launching in June 2010. If you look at it closely you can see that it has an aluminum uni-body.

Now the picture is grainy, and according to IntoMobile Adobe Photoshop CS 4 was used on this image so I wouldn’t trust it one bit. It doesn’t make sense for Apple to make the iPhone with an aluminum case because it hinders the cellular reception.

The biggest feature Apple announced in their iPhone OS 4.0 event today is multitasking. As an iPhone owner I was constantly teased by Android owners for having no ability to multitask. Not any more! Now Apple has implemented a nifty multitasking system in iPhone OS 4.0, and it looks like they’ve got it right! Whenever Apple implements a major feature, they always do it right. Unfortunately for iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2nd generation users, there will be no multitasking support added.

Multitasking on the iPhone involves double-clicking the home button on your iPhone, which pops up a four icon dock on the bottom and shows your background apps. You can tap on any app to switch to it, it’s that easy! For the tech junkies out there, Apple has added seven new API’s:
