I’m certain many society have waited, many have hoped, for the day when an IM client that could handle multiple protocols would be released for the iPhone… I’m proud to say that day has finally arrived in the style of Meebo. Meebo is a free IM client that can handle AIM, Jabber, MSN, Yahoo, Google Talk and ICQ. The folks by at Wired broke that story which you can read here.

From the looks of it, I’d say Meebo has a bright future ahead of it. The UI doesn’t look

poor even though it is on the plain side. The biggest thing about it is the fact that it can handle multiple protocols whereas other were limited to AIM. I primarily use iChat on my Mac and on rare occasions, I use Yahoo though I thoroughly hate it. Will that be the killer IM app for the iPhone or are you still holding out for iChat? Has anyone used Meebo? whether so, what are your experiences with it?
