I am pretty fond of Meebo’s mobile instant messaging application for the iPhone, but I am very curious of the native iPhone messaging application. TUAW made the report on that application and it sounds and looks pretty good.

The application is called Apollo IM and provides support for AIM accounts only. I am not too upset about that considering that is the only one I use. For those of you who want more, it is a beta and will probably add support later for others. In the meantime there

are quite a few non-native applications you can use–such as Meebo (Can you tell I like them a lot?).

Unfortunately, I am not a fan of digging around through my iPhone’s cipher to change things, mostly considering I would probably mess things up, but whether you are up for the challenge, let me know how it turns out. To download, go here, and you will be taken to the place to get you started.
