One of my colleagues was recently talking about how many open networks he finds with his iPhone. The only problem is that after joining one, the iPhone wants to remember it, even whether that network doesn’t let him connect to the ‘net.
It may seem like there’s no way to get the iPhone to “forget” these networks, but
it’s there. Open Settings from the Home screen, soon after tap Wi-Fi, thereupon tap the blue arrow to the right of the network’s name. At the top of the resulting screen is a large “Forget that Network” button; tap it and the selected Wi-Fi network is promptly forgotten.
