If you are one of those casual gamers who has been addicted to Sudoku, you now have one more reason to smile for buying the iPhone.

Freeverse, the leading developer and publisher of causual game for the Mac has announced the Big BangSudoku for the iPhone; a month since PopCap Games, another leading developer of casual games had announced a custom version of their flagship game “Bejeweled” for iPhone.

Freeverse’s iPhone Sudoku like PopCap’s Bejeweled has been customized for iPhone’s safari browser using its web 2.0 capabilities and is not a native iPhone application or a hack. As you would expect they have made full use of iPhone’s stunning 3.5 inch display and multi-touch interface.

Freeverse claims that the iPhone version will supply undistinguishable gaming experience from a stand-alone software application. Though the buttons are a little small; the game apparently seems to be best played in portrait mode as in case

of landscape mode the screen needs continual scrolling. Like PopCap Games, Freeverse too is offering the iPhone version of their game for free.

As per Freeverse, the latest research has shown that the use of memory and puzzle games can help create new pathways in the brain, keeping the mind sharp, or at least more limber; so you have another reason to give that a shot.
