Geeky Travel: iPhone Maps for Your Daily Adventures
Going from one place to another is indeed, a painful task most especially when you are in a foreign place, or surprisingly, even when you are just in a place where you are familiar with but still find yourself lost due to other reasons like traffic rerouting and all. A month ago, I never thought meeting a friend in a Chicago downtown restaurant will be that confusing, hard and yes, stressful, most especially without a map. I was forced to ask directions from one shop to another just to get into the meeting place. The result? I was late but the funniest thing about it was, I was just within two blocks from the meeting place!

Good thing there is now an iPhone Maps. With the latest installment from iPhone, live location tracking will be finally, possible. Thus, with the new iPhone OS 2.0, stopping and asking directions from shops to shops will be now a thing of the past inasmuch as my movement will be track in a map leading to wherever place I am heading. “This makes the iPhone’s “Locate Me” function feel much more like a real GPS,” says iPhone Atlas.
