ModMyiPhone is at it again. I thought the iPhone would have come with the capability to use the device as a drive on the computer, similar to the iPod. Unfortunately it did not, and of course someone had to manufacture up for what Apple missed.

A developer nicknamed “Cranium” has created a Windows-based file browser that enables users to access and transfer files directly to the iPhone, bypassing the sync process. The application is a visual




basics program so there is not an installer. You will need .Net and once you have that, you are ready to start dragging and dropping files.

I took the application for a spin on my windows machine and didn’t have much problems. I won’t be using it often, but it is nice to have until something better comes along–maybe for non-windows users… (hint, hint)
