Vodafone has already released its pricing plans for the 3G iPhone. However, it only got violent responses from the consumers. But now, it’s the company’s turn to defend their pricing plans.

The responses given by the angry customers can be viewed at the website called Nzherald.co.nz at the YourViews section. Most of the views given were criticizing the data costs set by Vodafone.

One respondent said that he and his co-employees are really anticipating and looking forward to buy the 3G iPhone. However, after they knew about the price plans of Vodafone, they immediately lost interest. They are now determined not to buy the smartphone the price plan is so expensive.

But according to Kursten Shalfoon, the spokesman from Vodafone, they have followed the new standards set by New Zealand. Moreover, Kursten




Shalfoon said that their data plans are already similar to the 3G data prices that the Vodafone currently have in the market. Aside from that, he also mentioned that Vodafone’s 250 MB plan is the cheapest in New Zealand market.

There are currently several data plans that can be purchased from Vodafone which would last for 2 years. The 250 GB package is valued at $80 a month. But if you want to have as much as 1 GB worth of data a month, then prepare to pay $250 every month.

“The hype around this device is continuing to build and there is very limited stock,” he said. “We’re desperately trying to get hold of the next shipment.”

Three Vodafone stores in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch will open after midnight Thursday to sell the phone.
