iCloseBy.com’s latest application for the iPhone takes advantage of the built-in GPS feature of the device. It will store the exact location of the user by just tapping on the screen. The stored locations may now be emailed to the user’s contacts. It will be sent as a standard GPX file. In this format, the photo can work with several mapping and photography software packages.

Once the user uploads the photo in their computer, the files that were created by the iMarkMySpot can be easily merged with the GPX/GPS waypoint files.
