iPhone 3.0 Beta 2 released; fixes some features and improves speed
The second iPhone 3.0 Beta is now available, and developers can go download it immediately from Apple’s iPhone dev page. Good news for all iPhone users.

A developer reader on another blog reports that it does feel much snappier, especially in the scrolling area. He also says that there’s a new Store area in the Settings, which is kinda mysterious because there’s nothing there. A place for the new Premium store maybe? Hmm.
Push notifications now fully work, and developers can start making apps with it. And, Skype still works over 3G, more good news for those excited over its release yesterday.
It sounds like some real progress for the platform, which has been much needed given the slowly increasing competition, like the soon to be released Palm Pre.
This is probably the final release of the Beta before a RC is issued, according to several insider reports, though there’s a small chance a Beta 3 could end up being released if substantial bugs are found in this candidate.
