iPhone 3GS manufacturing boosted 20%, according to sources
Several blogs have published claims indicating that Apple has pushed up its manufacturing orders for the iPhone 3GS by up to 20%, definitely suggesting people are not tired of the device, and demand and sales continue to be very strong.

According to one article from DigiTimes (http://www.digitimes.com/news/a20091027PD219.html):
“Apple has increased fourth-quarter orders for the iPhone 3GS to its Taiwan-based manufacturing partners Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry) and Primax Electronics by 17-20%, noted the sources.”
OmniVision is the maker of of the image sensors used in the iPhone’s built-in camera, and has reportedly notified its other customers of limited supply due to Apple’s demands on their time and equipment.
Apple did publish a report a few weeks ago about limited supply of the iPhone in some areas, and this should more than likely relieve any supply worries in the immediate future.
