iSteam, a steam simulator, looks like a fun one to install and keep, and is one of the more innovative and cool apps to be released on the iPhone. The application adds ultra-realistic steam to your screen when you blow on the microphone.

After that you can use your fingers to clean it, causing squeaky sounds, condensation, and drops that get affected by the orientation of the phone, like it would happen in real life if you drew on a mirror that was wet with condensation. But without frying your
It’s silly and useless, but its just so cool. It was free, but reportedly it is now $0.99, so I’d think about it unless you’re really into novelty apps.
Kostas Eleftheriou, one of the developers of the app, says that iSteam will be free until the weekend, but there has been a problem with Apple’s iTunes App store. It appeared as $0.99, but some are reporting its free again. For free, it’s a no-brainer cool little app.

ehh tried this one. it was ok while it was free but it’s not anymore so not worth having. couldn’t really write more than a few words or doodles even given the iPhone screen size since the condensation gets all over the place… kind of annoying.
googled it and found out that there’s actually another app out there called iFog that does the same thing plus more. SO much better bang for your buck (buck less a cent!)
actually, iFog is FREE now too! whoohoo. much more fun. professional looking too.
iSteam was your typical free app. felt like a beta and would not pay for it.
i-fog? hmmm. i had high expetations for this app after some of the posts ive read but i think half of them must have been written by friends of the developer!!! it doesn’t DO anything and it doesnt even look like fog. the screen just goes a greiyish color when u blow on it then all there is to do is rub away and find a picture underneath that uve put there in the first place. y would i want to ’show that to my friends’ as one of the selling points apparently is?!! so i tried isteam and was much more impressed. tho it still has the same slightly useless rubbing at the picture thing, the wuality is so much better, with realostic drops of water and a much more steamlike effect. u can even make games with the droplets, turning the screen into a steamy version of snake or labrynth. seems to me like ifog is just a cheap imitation.
The steam looks gross like almost moldy…the steam effect is pretty cool, but not worth $0.99. I agree with comfortablysmug, iFog is way better and the secret message feature is cute.
It’s free as of right now through the App Store at least.
iFog is way better. You should give it a try. I love how you can write something on the screen that only appears after you blow on the phone! My friends just get amazing and jealous every time I secret message them
