IBM recently announced that they have new services as well as software which can be used by companies that are equipped with mobile workforces. These new products were also meant for employees of the IBM who are always on the go.

iPhone

One of the new products includes the Mobility@Work, which is a consulting service. IBM said that the Mobility@Work can help medium to large-sized businesses increase the productivity of their employees by as much as 30 percent since the workers can be productive no matter where they are, may it be on the road or at the comfort of their own homes.

IBM also mentioned that 67 percent of




workers are now using mobile phones as well as wireless computers. Moreover, they also mentioned that the number of mobile users browsing the World Wide Web is possible to reach as much as one billion before the year 2008 ends.

Because of this, IBM is now planning a new application for different mobile platforms including Apple Inc.’s iPhone. IBM said that they are actually thinking of creating a mobile platform version of their WebSphere Business Monitor. The said application would allow the users about their business events including new orders, sales, and more. The mobile platform version of the WebSphere Business Monitor is expected to be available for the iPhone by Q4
