I'm with Rogers, in Burnaby, and i get about 2000 kbs on my 3g iphone. I tested both the 3gs, and 3g side by side. On the basis of surfing the internet, personally i could not justify committing to Rogers insanely long 3 yr contract and paying another 250 plus admin and taxes which work out to 320. no thanks. If they punched their network up to the 3.5 average dl speed, I would. But seeing as, I think, they're keeping the costs down, I'm not jumping ship until they're fair and square. I feel sorry for people who bought their 3gs expecting the 3-4 mbs dl speeds, and still average close, not much more than a 3g does. I noticed about a 30% difference in increased download of websites. I think Rogers is asking us to take it up the arse, just like we do the 3 yrs. I'm sure they can open their lines more to reach an average 3.5. They just don't want to incur the extra costs. "It's 2nd best in the world right? Better than At&t." I think it comes down to a cost benefit for them imo. And us Canadians being so nice. Just wait till another iphonerunied.com site pops up. What ever had to prevention?
