While we lack some of the cooler features of a conventional desktop OS (do not get me started on the “real Internet”) we can partially assemble up for it through the use of bookmarklets. Here I’ll be taking a look at two that are incredibly useful.

Del.icio.us

whether you are a fan of Del.icio.us like me you know how much of a pain it is to submit urls and save them for future reference. While we can always bookmark them locally into a group and sup group of folders that can be daunting and we lose out on the advantage to Socially Bookmarking them.

Luckily the Del.icio.us bookmarklet will take the link and page title increasing the ease of submitting them. It certain is an awesome substitute for copying and pasting hyperlinks, at least for now.

While

logged in visit that page http://del.icio.us/post/ and drag ‘n drop the button

TwitThis

As you know we here at iPhone Matters “love” Twitter and we might like to submit a link around here and there even on our profiles. Now sometimes we might like to do that on our iPhone so instead of bookmarking the link and Twitting it later we can do it right soon after and there.

TwitThis works much the same way the previous bookmarklet does in that it retrieves the hyperlinks and page title thereupon converts it to a TinyURL.

Visit http://twitthis.com/ and drag ‘n drop the button

Please note though that all bookmarklets must be synced by from your computer as they require you drag and drop them.
