While many .Mac users are enthusiastic about the new (or minimal) updates introduced at the most recent Stevenote there is one significant group left out of the picture: Flickr users. While we bask in our superior Social Networking capabilities that surely has Apple’s panties in a bunch we can still upload photos directly from our iPhone nearly as easy as .Mac users.
that can be done extremely easily and once configured actually has more functionality than Apple could ever pack into the iPhone. First head on by to http://www.flickr.com/account/uploadbyemail/ which will immediate for your log in data and from there you will be able configure how your photos will be tagged and what newsletter address they can be sent to.
While newsletter configuration is easy you will need to manufacture a contact on your iPhone’s Address Book. For me I simply titled it “Flickr” but of course you can go the creative route
Once the e mail window comes up you can type the first letter of your Flickr (or .Mac Web Upload Killer) contact and thereupon you can choose from the small drop down. You do have a few additional options such as using the email’s subject line for the photo title and customizing which tags are assigned via the Web interface.
