iPhone to be carried by Virgin Mobile in Australia
The telecommunications industry in Australia ais now speculating that another mobile service provider – Virgin Mobile Australia, will be distributing the second-generation iPhone from Apple Inc. in the next two weeks.

However, ZDNet.com.au and its sister site CNET.com.au weren’t able to confirm the reliability of such speculation. But there are already various independent parties that are passing these details which appears to be in the right time for the launch.
Moreover, there are also numerous users on the forums of CNET.com.au claiming that they have reliable sources confirming that the Virgin Mobile Australia will be launching the latest handset from Apple Inc. in the country soon.
When the spokesperson of the Virgin Mobile Australia was asked about the speculations, he neither confirmed nor denied it. However, he said that the Virgin Mobile has nothing to neither confirm nor announce this time.
As of the moment, the iPhone is only carried by Optus and Vodafone, Telstra, and resellers of Telco. Those who wanted to have the iPhone may also purchase the platform at the Apple retail store located in Sydney, Australia. They will sign a mandatory monthly plan before they can purchase though. Customers may also opt to pay additional fee so that they can unlock the 3G iPhone after they sign up to an Optus plan.
