Currently, Nokia ranks as the first smartphone provider by having a market share that is 45% or more. The second place goes to RIM with its BlackBerry, giving a share that is at least 14 percent. On the other hand, Apple only has a share of 5.3% selling more than 1.8 million iPhone units during the first quarter of 2008.

However, in North America, it is the RIM that is in the first place since Nokia have been failing to create a lasting impression in the region. It is then followed by Apple giving twenty percent of the market share.

But if the predictions will come true, it would be the Apple Inc. that will have create the most striking sales figures since the improved iPhone

has now been released.

The Big Boss of Apple, Steve Jobs, is expecting that they will be able to sell at least 10 million units of iPhone in their first eighteen months. As of the moment, Apple has already sold more than five million units of iPhone.

Aside from Steve Jobs, analysts also agree that Apple will be getting selling another five million units anytime soon since they have lowered their price compared to the price that they have on their first-generation Apple.

Moreover, analysts also mentioned that Apple has the potential to increase their sales from $24 billion last 2007 to $34 billion this 2008. And by 2009, the company will probably hit $50 billion for its sales. This is all because of iPhone alone.
