Well, only hours after putting out a call for donations for the iPhone Dev Team’s ongoing attempts to unlock the iPhone, a Macedonian hacker and a team from Hackint0sh have succeeded in breaking open the iPhone’s carrier lock so that it can be used with a European SIM card.  Unlike

a previous hack, which resulted in an iPhone that could only be used for making calls, that process apparently unlocks all functionality: incoming and outgoing calls, SMS and EDGE info access.

      Hi !,

Would it be possible to know if the I-Phone unlocking made by the mentioned Macedonians and Hackintosh will be available soon ?
I live in Dubai and the cell phone system is same as Europe, therefore the unlocking should work here; would also be possible to contact them ? Thanks.

      Regards,

It sounds too good to be true. I mean, why would you give half a news without pointing to the source site itself?

Besides, I haven’t seen any other breaking news of this sort on google…
