Currently, the iPhone supports the following languages – English, Italian, French, Russian and German. However, with the latest firmware release by Apple last week, input files for countries including Portugal, Korea, Poland, Norway, Finland, Denmark and Sweden has been released. Specific carriers for each country to receive the iPhone has not been released.

The release of this firmware caused many analysts to question whether the

iPhone is coming to these countries or not. Both the Russian and Italian languages came on the previous iPhone software, without Apple announcing that the device would be made available in those countries.

Korea is included in the list of languages, but Apple’s largest markets outside the U.S., Japan and China are not included. Does this mean the iPhone would be launched in Korea first in Asia?
