A new rumor is now spreading according to the loyal Apple-watchers. Not only that Apple Inc. is preparing for the release of 3G iPhone in the market on July 11, but the company is also preparing a new plan that would boost the sales of the device. Apple has now considered retailing the 3G iPhone at some university stores located in United States.

iPhone 3G

Apple Inc. is now seriously considering the big possibility that they will be giving a green light to the stores based on the campus to retail the second-generation iPhone. Moreover, they would be also allowing the resellers that are connected to the universities. This would certainly enable them to reach more sales as they offer the 3G iPhone to an important tech-friendly environment.

If Apple would push this plan in order to widen the market of the improved iPhone, it will only be like the “iPhone Univeristy” strategy that they launched last year on some of the noted campuses all over United States.

Some of the universities that are included in the list of Apple Inc are MIT, Stanford, and Harvard. And when the scheme will be successful, Apple Inc. foresees students holding iPhones so that they can download their study materials without being limited in one place alone. They may now wirelessly download other materials as well such as homework reminders, in-class surveys as well as quizzes. Aside from that, they may also get to know the directions going to a particular place in the campus without asking directions from anybody.
