Ireland to get 3G iPhone for only 49 Euro
O2 will be the exclusive carrier of the improved iPhone in Ireland. And like United States, Japan, and other countries, Ireland will start to distribute the 3G iPhone by July 11 this year.

The price of the second-generation iPhone will be subsidised. Moreover, the customer also has the chance to choose which plan they want to sign up. The start of the subsidised price for the 3G iPhone is 49 Euro only.
According to O2, now that the 3G technology has been adapted by the latest iPhone this would result in a faster internet connection. It would certainly be two times faster than the browsing speed that the user of the first-generation iPhone gets, especially now that O2 has an HSDPA network.
Moreover, O2 also mentioned that the price starts only at 49 Euro and would range up to 229 Euro. Of course, this would depend on the 3G iPhone’s memory size as well as the tariff which is chosen by the interested customer. The company also expects that Apple Inc. will reveal more features that can be used for business purposes.
The 3G iPhone will be available in 8GB and 16GB model. The Bitbuzz in Ireland will allow the iPhone customers of O2 to use the service without limits.
