According to Barron’s Magazine, with all the competing mobile phones, a Taiwan-based company has released a device that is as good as the 3G iPhone. The device is called the 3G Touch Diamond from the company called HTC or High Tech Computers.

The 3G Touch Diamond has a touch-screen feature just like that of the iPhone’s. The device also has a Qualcomm chipset which is said to be greater than the Infineon product of the iPhone. And if the 3G iPhone has a battery that needs to be charged over and over again, the 3G Touch Diamond has a battery that can be replaced. One feature that the 3G iPhone lacks and is present in the 3G Touch Diamond is the video feature. Moreover, the 3G Touch Diamond has a 3F interface. The High Tech Computers started shipping their device last May.

According to the analysts, the 8GB model of 3G iPhone worth $199 will undercut High Tech Computers’ margins and this can become a major problem. On the other hand, there are also others who think that that discount on the 3G iPhone is a mirage. By the time you lay down that added premium for the 3G iPhone’s carrier service plans (which would last for two years), you will be spending more than just the $199.

The High Tech Computers also have two supporters that are notable in the industry of technology. At least 78 percent of the mobile phones of Microsoft were made by High Tech Computers. Aside from that, the Hight Tech Computers is also planning to ship mobile phones powered by Android before the year ends.
