Lastminute.com will launch an augmented reality application for the iPhone 3GS in the next couple of weeks that will allow people to find bars, restaurants and cinemas in their current location from their phone.

The application, which is a port of the Android version called NRU, launched in the last couple of weeks for the HTC G1 and Magic.
The port is now possible because of the introduction of the digital compass on the new Apple mobile phone, Ryan Charles of Zagat was reported as saying. Meanwhile, Zagat, the co-owners of the application in the US has confirmed that it hopes to launch the app stateside, once the UK launch has been rolled out successfully, where it will launch first.
The stylish looking app automatically tracks Zagat rated restaurants, giving users food and cost scores as they move in real time bringing new dining places into view as they appear on the map.
If you have a regular iPhone the app will still work, but you won’t get the rotation according to which way it is facing.

No, the falling Apple logo on the Google hompage doesn't have anything to do with Apple Inc. It is there to celebrate the birthday of Sir Isaac Newton.
As I was browsing Google today I noticed a new logo which Google created to honor Sir Isaac Newton.
For me, the best free iPhone app in the Apple App Store would have to be the Dragon Dictation iPhone app. The Dragon Dictation iPhone app allows you to speak in to your iPhone and have your speech converted to text.
Google is working on a new phone, and it’s called the Nexus One. No, Nexus One is not a code name, it’s the real name of the phone that you see in the picture above.
The much anticipated debut of the iPhone in South Korea finally took place on Saturday and it was a huge hit.
As has been said here and many other places, one can only imagine that Apple was ready to do battle with the Droid and that they were merely waiting for the release of their competitions top product before finalizing their latest version.
Looks interesting, but when is TomTom being released?
