Make It Mine v0.01:One go to Change Carrier Logo

Erica Sadun released an app today that changes the iPhone’s carrier with ease. Previously you had to do a ton of command line stuff to change the carrier logo, but now all you have to do is type in the name after opening the app. After typing in the name, springboard will restart and show your new logo.

Make It Mine can be obtained in here.

I found something very interesting- when I updated to the 3.0 beta for the iPhone, I was shocked to find that, while my phone was definately unjailbroken, it still left the carrier as my name. I had been jailbroken on 2.2 and downloaded make it mine. When I upgraded to 3.0, the setting didn’t change. Not a problem, but does anyone have any thoughts as to why this might happen? Keep in mind, in no way did I perform any jailbreak or anything related after restoring to 3.0. Thanks!

I just restored my previously jailbroken iPhone to factory default and after re-syncing it is still showing the changes I made to the carrier name. This is a bit of a problem since I am due to go to the Genius bar tomorrow about the dust under my screen, and I my options are to restore it again and hope they don’t get too suspicious about why I don’t even have any saved contacts, or leave it as is, not technically jailbroken, and hope they don’t void my warranty.

    DooN,
The warranty is avoid as soon as you Jailbreak it – restoring it wont help. Apple will still be able to see that you have previously Jailbroken it. Its permanent. You cant hide it.

    Miz_red is ignorant. Ignore her.

If you restore your phone from DFU, you get a complete wipe of the iPhone. Apple can’t tell at all.

LOL what an idiot is Miz_red

jailbreak ur phone again, change the carrier to the correct AT&T and then restore it back to normal, it will come back as AT&T.
