Makers of the BlackBerry finally launched their iPhone killer

Research in Motion, the company behind the sleek mobile smartphone called BlackBerry, recently unveiled its new unit that is said to definitely kill the iPhone – the smartphone which they call the BlackBerry Bold.

The BlackBerry Bold is just a few weeks behind the debut of Apple Inc.’s smartphone – the 3G iPhone. The new product from Research in Motion had its official launch in Austria. And following in the footsteps of the 3G iPhone, the BlackBerry Bold can also operate on the faster 3G network. The said device also has a built-in GPS as well.

Tech analysts said that the BlackBerry Bold is certainly rich in features. It has an LCD display (half-VGA) which has a 480×320 resolution. It also has a powerful processor (624 MHz), an internal memory (1 GB), and more. According to those who have seen the external of the BlackBerry Bold, the style is definitely suited for those who are in the corporate world. The makers of the BlackBerry Bold also described it as the premier smartphone that is meant for the business as well as enterprise users.

And just like the iPhone, the BlackBerry Bold also has a built-in 2 MP camera. However, unlike Apple Inc.’s mobile phone, the BlackBerry Bold has a built-in flash as well. Not only that it can capture and store photos but videos too! You can play your videos and other media files in full screen mode.
