In the cool idea department: PhoneFlix is a completely free iPhone app that lets you view and manage your Netflix queue right from your iPhone.

Although PhoneFlix isn’t designed or sold by Netflix in any way, it lets you login to your Netflix account and manage your queue however you like. Plus, you can see all of your recent activity, and even recommendations and reviews as well.
You can even browse through Netflix’s catalog of over 100,000 movies and TV shows. You can browse by movie categories, TV shows, Top 100 movies and pretty much all the
A quick note reported from users though: If after putting in your username and password, and it seems like you are still on the same screen, you probably typed in username or password wrong. It doesn’t give you an error. A few have reported having trouble logging in; there may be a quick update to the product coming in a few days.
PhoneFlix is just another example of the ingenuity and everyday utility from iPhone developers.

“In the cool idea department?” More like in the copycat idea department. iFlix was the first iPhone app to allow you to manage your Netflix account…it was released almost a year ago as a jailbroken app and a few weeks ago as a much-improved official app. It is significantly better than PhoneFlix.
Also available is Dashbuster (released 2 months ago), which is the only app currently available that lets you manage Blockbuster queues as well as Netflix queues. Although not as nice as iFlix, the additional flexibility may make it the only choice for some people.
NOTE: iFlix is currently unavailable while the author fixes a bug…it should reappear within the next few days.
Craig, thanks for that heads up. Coincidentally I just posted about PhoneFlix today as well and in fact searched for a Netflix app for comparison and didn’t find iFlix. I will be sure to review that shortly once I get my hands on it.
No problem. Until it does show back up in the store you can find the iFlix web site here: http://iphonevine.com/iflix2
BTW, other than being a satisfied customer I have no relationship with the company or developer.
