When Motorola Razr was launched during its day, it considered as the most sleek and most wanted mobile phone. Back in 2005, Motorola Razr is definitely the hottest mobile phone. However, a new statistic should raise the concern of Motorola. For more than a year, Motorola Rzar was the best-selling mobile phone. This means that many people have it. But now, most of these users have upgraded from Motorola Razr to Apple’s iPhone. Motorola is now losing its touch when it comes to the mobile phone industry.

As of the moment, Apple Inc. has already sold as much as 5.4 million of iPhone units. J.D Power and Associates have polled at least 20,000 users of mobile phones and if their figures were right then it simply means that there are already 1.3 million users of iPhone that used to be faithful to Motorola. When the 1.3 million users does not seem to be a very big number compared to the global sales figure of Motorola Razr, Motorola should still be troubled. This means that there were more than a million consumers who no longer believe in Motorola that is why they shifted to another product.

Motorola wasn’t able to keep its consumers especially now that the 3g iPhone has already been launched and soon will be out in the market. Will the 3G iPhone have the same fate as well after the consumers are done with their two-year contract with AT&T? This still remains to be seen.
